奇異恩典可以說是詩歌界的國歌，許多人都知道奇異恩典是約翰牛頓牧師所做，但你們知道嗎？奇異恩典的曲調，卻是由黑人所作的。本週我們要介紹的歌手，是靈魂樂界國寶級的歌手，他就是素有「靈魂歌后」(The Queen Of Soul)，甚至被滾石雜誌評為「100位最偉大的歌手」(100 greatest singers of all time)第一名的Aretha Franklin。
Aretha Franklin生於1942年3月25日，出生在田納西州，雙親都是知名人物，父親是知名牧師CL Franklin，母親是知名鋼琴家Barbara Siggers Franklin，從小對音樂耳濡目染，12歲時便開始他的音樂事工，到2018年過世，在縱橫音樂界64個年頭，不但橫跨流行樂與福音界，一生更是獲獎無數，葛萊美獎提名44次，獲獎18次，也獲得獲葛萊美傳奇獎(Grammy Legend Award)以及葛萊美終身成就獎(Lifetime achievement awards)，可說是靈魂樂中的傳奇女性代表。
